Passport to Peru: Celebrating Peruvian Cuisine Around the Bay

26 Bay Area Peruvian Restaurants and Culinary Partners Unite for the 3rd Annual Passport to Peru — A Multi-Week Celebration of Peruvian Cuisine and Culture

Launched by La Mar Cocina Peruana, Passport to Peru invites diners to explore the region’s Peruvian gastronomy by dining around the Bay Area for a chance to win a trip to Peru.

Passport to Peru, a multi-week celebration of Peruvian gastronomy across the Bay Area, returns for its third year from July 6 to July 26, 2026. Led by La Mar Cocina Peruana, the acclaimed sea-to-table restaurant from Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, this collaborative culinary initiative brings together Peruvian restaurants and culinary partners from across the region to celebrate the diversity, richness, and spirit of Peru’s cuisine.

Throughout the campaign, guests are invited to begin their journey at any participating location, where they can receive a custom-designed Passport to Peru and collect a stamp each time they order a main dish. Diners who collect stamps from at least three participating restaurants will be eligible for a chance to win a trip to Lima, Peru.

The more participants dine, the greater their chances of winning: those who visit five restaurants will receive two entries in the drawing, and for every two additional restaurants visited beyond that, they will receive one additional entry. Participants must drop off their completed passport at La Mar Cocina Peruana in San Francisco on or before July 26, 2026, to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.

From cebiches and tiraditos to lomo saltado, pollo a la brasa, pisco cocktails, regional specialties, and contemporary interpretations of Peruvian flavors, Passport to Peru is an invitation to discover the many expressions of Peru’s table across the Bay Area.
